Piercings at Pearl Collective

This page is about the piercing side of Pearl Collective, from piercings to fine jewellery, all done by the owner Dea!

During the crazy time of COVID, with the lockdowns and social distancing, I decided to open up Pearl Collective in September 2020 at a place called Headcase Barbers.

I wanted to open a place that was dedicated to offering the best piercing & jewellery services, bespoke and curations that are out of this world. I also wanted to offer a safe space for everyone to feel comfortable and happy about expressing themselves through modification either piercings or jewellery.

Pretty crazy to announce this - Dea the owner of Pearl Collective is officially Newbury's first & only UKAPP (Association of Professional Piercers) member UKAPP

When I first created Pearl Collective in the barbershop, I never imagined of getting there, but after moving to The Garden House (where we are now), I knew the dream could come true.

After many months of hard work editing the studio (with help from Family & piercer friends) and working with verified jewellery only, I was finally ready to submit my application, and here we are!

Owner/Piercer

Hey everyone, my name is Deanna, but I'd rather be called Dea (Dee). I have been professionally piercing since 2012 and absolutely love it. I have been interested in piercing/body mods/tattoos since a young age due to family members and friends having them, then being introduced to BME.

I have attended and taught at the UKAPP (Association of Professional Piercers), I regularly attended Piercer Tradeshow and online webinars to further my education. I have bloodborne pathogens, first aid and insurance for all your safety. I take course to learn more about jewellery, body anatomy and health & safety.

I am a archive lover, so learning about the history of piercing/body mods/tattoos is a forever love of mine. You can listen to me chit chat on my podcast "Tea with Dea" via apple & spotify.

As someone who loves education, I am the host/runner of South Seminars, which is a day seminar for piercers/counter staff/jewellery specialists to learn.

In my personal life, I am a mother to a little girl so you will probably hear me chit chat about how proud I am of her. I am also a animal lover, 4 cats who are my life so I'll probably show you pictures of them, and I've recently got into photography so that's super fun.
